The ASCOMETAL plants at Les Dunes, Hagondange and Cheylas have ISO 14001 certification

Protection of the environment is taken into consideration right from the design stage for all products

Actions implemented include:

-	Soil analyses on the 4 steel-production sites
-	Investments to reduce dust emissions from the four steel-making plants
-	Reduction in water consumption
-	Development of selective sorting
-	Research into energy-from-waste
-	Setting up of an environmental management platform on the Internet
